Kalashi festivals are famous through out the world. Three festivals are more important celebrated in different months of year. Chilam Joshi is the most important festival celebrated in late May, Uchal in autumn season and Chomos festival during mid winters.

Chilam Joshi festival of Kalash valley is of four days. It starts at Rumbur valley and then moves on to the other valleys. In this festival Kalashi people pray for the safeguard of their fields and animals before going to their fields and for this purpose they used to spread milk on their gods.

People of Kalash valley love music and dance on the beat of drums. Women dance in circle on different songs. An interesting fact about Kalashi people is that they do not mourn on the deaths. They corpses are buried above the ground in wooden boxes instead of being buried in the ground.

We three, ages 80+, traveled through South Pakistan & North Pakistan on a fabulous trip.

“South Pakistan is rich with palaces, tombs, castles, forts, museums and archeological sites. The beauty of the Hindu Kush Mountains in North Pakistan is breath takingly beautiful. Kalash Valley with the 4,000 descendants from the army of Alexander the Great was especially interesting. Security was excellent. People were very welcoming. Since English is the official language, many sites held explanations in English. We enjoyed seeing the brick factories, bazaars, tailors making traditional wool hats, rug weavers, potters, masons king stone caskets and the many tips of live chickens, fruit, vegetables and clothing.
Hunza Explorers made it one of the best trips we have ever taken.”

Extraordinary Trip !!

“I visited Pakistan 2 times for this year (2017) first time was Cherry Blossom (7-17 April), I and my friends are amateur photographers, we decided to choose Hunza Explorers Treks & Tours even though many agents contact us. Because of Karim Tajik (CEO of Hunza Explorers) wrote the e-mail to me >> We will do all our best to give you the best service, we hope you and your friends tour in Pakistan with us will be colorful and memorable. << I trusted him and his team never let me down. We had a great fun for this trip and then I decided to visit Pakistan again with my friend (only 2 persons) in Summer Season (7-21 July). Karim looked after us by himself and took us to Kalash Valleys of Chitral, some historians believe that the Kalash are descendants of the soldiers of Alexander the Great. It was extraordinary trip for me !! I plan to visit Pakistan again in Autumn next year and I will definitely choose Hunza Explorers Treks & Tours for my best time to take photography. I trust him and his service, I'm grateful to Karim for his service.^___^"
